Author Biography
Disabled trans and queer, Trey has spent their happiest days under canopies of their favorite trees on ceded lands of the Jamestown S’Klallam in the PNW. In 1989 Trey founded the first Environmental Club in their remote farming community, and in 1993 created the first LGBTQIA+ student group/pride event at their college, for which they received awards and death threats. Coming out rurally in the shadow of AIDs and Matthew Shepard’s murder forever shaped them. Their poetic voice and activism hopes to embody a different way to walk on this land for the many generations of queers to follow.
