A clipboard stretches
full of myself. This morning
I was stranger to the dimensional
obsessive-compulsive scale
but it knows my childhood.
Outside, beach birds & each time
I interrupt myself the couch
is a squishier microscope slide.
Look, crows, one seagull among
& you’re silent as an eyepiece,
peaceful as eye contact.
Dimensionally, Carol, about how
much time have you spent
each day engaging in behavioral
or mental actions to make this office
perfectly ocean-located? Tell me
like I’ll never hold a job, be allowed
around kids, I’m for a room
with a bird-view. O Carol,
associated Christian counselor,
what are you writing about
my lover? How far is anyone fixed?
The birds flee the intaking ferry
as you tell me there’s a public
restroom in the building, everybody
else can use it no problem,
we can do some exposures
there in the coming weeks. Carol,
you ask too much. I came here circling
the skies for help & not to go down
for it. You look my brain-packet up &
to no good, add numbers on a phone
calculator. Well, you conclude,
it’s not pleasant. I pendulum
between Marked & Severe & never
Extreme. The crows laugh,
say save your pity. I bring such zeal
for washing & cleaning behaviors.
So many habits nobody can take away.
