Welcome to the Washington State Queer Poetry Anthology!

Arianne True designed this free community resource while serving as Washington State Poet Laureate from 2023-2025, holding generative workshops and gathering a huge number of submissions from queer poets of all stripes across the state. The anthology is co-edited by Clare Johnson, who curated the final project in close accordance with Arianne's guidelines, reading all 823 submitted poems. The final publication includes 443 poems by 291 authors, in the form of a website designed and built by H. F., Kate S, and Drew Ahlberg, graduates of University of Washington’s iSchool. Clare and the website development team's work was also greatly assisted by tireless and multifaceted support from Linnea Ingalls.

NOTE: Submissions for the anthology closed in early 2024. While this project is published as a website rather than a printed book, it is still a final publication from a set moment in time. The anthology is NOT taking ongoing submissions or adding new poems.
